- Vanilla simple syrup (see below)
Vanilla Simple Syrup (Yields 1 1/4 C.)
- 2 Cup
- Sugar
- 1 Cup
- Water
- 1 Tbsp.
- Vanilla extract
- To make the vanilla simple syrup, bring the sugar and water to a low simmer, whisking until the sugar is dissolved.
- Whisk the vanilla extract into the syrup and remove from the heat. Store in a lidded jar and refrigerate for up to two weeks.
- Stir the vanilla simple syrup into the hot tea.
- Top the sweetened hot tea with steamed milk and lightly garnish with ground peppermint candy.
