Hot peppermint tea, steeped
2 tsp.
Vanilla simple syrup (see below)
Vanilla Simple Syrup (Yields 1 1/4 C.)
2 Cup
Sugar
1 Cup
Water
1 Tbsp.
Vanilla extract
  1. To make the vanilla simple syrup, bring the sugar and water to a low simmer, whisking until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Whisk the vanilla extract into the syrup and remove from the heat. Store in a lidded jar and refrigerate for up to two weeks.
  3. Stir the vanilla simple syrup into the hot tea.
  4. Top the sweetened hot tea with steamed milk and lightly garnish with ground peppermint candy.
