Almond Butter Cookie Blossoms

Servings: 48 (4 dozen)



  • 1 cup Almond butter
  • 1 cup Shortening
  • 1 cup Dark brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup White, granulated sugar
  • 2 Eggs, large
  • ¹⁄3 cup a2 Milk®
  • 2 tsp. Vanilla extract
  • 3 ½ cups All purpose flour
  • 1 ½ tsp. Baking soda
  • 1 tsp. Baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp. Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • ½ cup White sugar (for rolling the cookie dough in before baking).
  • 11 oz. bag Chocolate kisses (Use dark chocolate if A1 protein sensitive)

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. In a mixer, mix almond butter, shortening, dark brown sugar and white sugar together. Once nicely mixed, add in 2 eggs, milk and vanilla. Mix well.
  3. In a separate large bowl, mix the flour, soda, powder, cinnamon and salt together. Then stir into the almond butter mixture.
  4. Roll dough into small balls, and then coat in the granulated sugar. Place on cookie sheet (prepared with PAM) and repeat until cookie dough is gone!
  5. Bake in the oven for 11 minutes. Immediately after removing from the oven, press a chocolate kiss in the center of each cookie. Let cool completely. ENJOY!
