Nothing goes better with dazzling holiday fireworks and relaxing family time than a buffet brimming with delicious summer foods. This year we’re sharing our favorite 4th of July recipes that are not only beautiful to serve your guests but so easy to make and healthy too! Let’s dig in!

We love it just the way it is or served over a bed of mixed tender greens to amp up the fresh factor. Note: Be sure to keep this salad in the cooler until it’s serving time to keep the dairy-based dressing on this salad chilled.
Roasted Red Pepper Hummus Dip
This vegetarian, gluten-free side dish is packed with protein from chickpeas. You can make this hummus as spicy as your guests like by adding a sprinkle of red pepper flakes or diced red chili peppers. When it’s time to serve it up, place a heaping bowl in the middle of a platter of white and blue cauliflower florets, sliced red bell pepper, white sticks of kohlrabi, halved red radishes and whole red cherry tomatoes.
Strawberry Rhubarb Milkshake
No 4th of July party is complete without sweet treats. We love sipping on milkshakes filled with seasonal fruit and vanilla ice cream. This combo of rhubarb, strawberries, and honey hits the spot for all ages and is easy to serve in chilled reusable tumblers! Adults: Feel free to add a splash of coconut rum to your glass for a grown-up indulgence.
Colorful Grilled Kebabs
When it comes to cooking outdoors, there’s nothing faster and more customizable than offering a make-your-own-kebab station. Take some inspiration from Martha Stewart, then assemble ingredients your crew loves. Mix and match your favorite combos of marinated meats, seafood, vegetables and fruits for these tasty picnic favorites.
Apple Cinnamon Scones
These grab n’ go sweets compliment a holiday brunch quiche or make afternoon snackers happy. To really celebrate the holiday, leave the red skin on the apple and mix a bit of blue or red food coloring into the glaze to add extra color to your table. If you’re not a fan of apples, these scones are also delicious made with blueberries or cherries.
