No Family Member Left Behind This Thanksgiving

Posted on November 17, 2017

Thanksgiving is a time to feel thankful, loved, and… full!

Luckily, that’s an easy thing to do.

What’s not so easy is catering to your family’s dietary preferences. Especially if you’re cooking for your extended family,  you’ll have to have sides for gluten-free diets, vegetarians, those sensitive to dairy, and those avoiding artificial sugar. It can become overwhelming to find sides for all these preferences– which is why we did it for you.  Make sure to check with family members for allergies vs. preferences. Allergies can be life threatening and will need to be addressed differently than a preference.

Below, you’ll find appetizers, main sides, and desserts to consider for your Turkey Day table.

Safe Thanksgiving Sides

Thanksgiving Sides for All

Guidelines

  1. The above recipes contain no gluten. We achieve this by using non-wheat flours, dried fruit, and other natural ingredients in place of traditional flour.
  2. These recipes are also free of meat and stock. For meatless stuffing, either keep it simple or add in a meat alternative like Field Roast.
  3. If you or your family members suffer from dairy sensitivity, create your Thanksgiving sides with a2 Milk®. a2 Milk® is A1 protein-free, so it’s easier on digestion and may help some avoid discomfort. We’ve also only used goat cheese which is naturally A1 protein-free.
  4. Last, the above recipes contain no artificial sugar. Instead, we use honey, vanilla, and apricots to give recipes a sweet finish.
